Robotic Lawn Mowers

Imagine never having to spend your Saturday afternoon pushing a mower again. At APS Garden Machinery, we’re here to help you build your “smart garden”, and our range of Stiga robotic mowers are designed to give you your weekends back. These quiet, efficient machines work in the background to keep your grass at a constant, perfect height, so you can just sit back and enjoy the view. Whether you have a small urban plot or a complex garden with multiple zones, we can help you find the robot that fits your life.
STIGA Automatic A Robotic Mowers
We’ve chosen to lead with the Stiga A range because they represent the future of effortless gardening. Using patented AGS (Active Guidance System) and GPS technology, these robots don’t just mow; they plan. They learn your garden’s layout and satellite signal strengths to ensure they never lose their way or stop mid-job.
Whether you have a compact lawn or a larger, more complex garden, a Stiga robotic mower gives you back your weekends. It’s silent, smart, and systematic – cutting your lawn in neat, efficient lines rather than wandering at random. Browse our Stiga range below and discover how smart your garden can really be.

Stiga A Robotic Mower FAQs
Does the robotic mower just drive around randomly?
Not at all. Stiga A robots use systematic cutting patterns (neat parallel lines). This is much more efficient than random ‘ping-pong’ mowing, meaning the job gets done faster and uses less battery, which is better for your lawn’s health.
Is it easy to change the mowing area?
Extremely! If you add a new flower bed or a trampoline over the summer, you don’t need to dig up any wires. You just update the virtual map in your app, and your mower instantly knows the new ‘no-go’ zones.
How does it work without boundary wires?
Unlike older robots that need a wire buried around the lawn, the Stiga A range uses high-precision GPS (RTK) and Stiga’s own AGS technology. You simply ‘draw’ your garden’s perimeter in the Stiga.GO app, and the mower follows that virtual boundary with centimetre-level accuracy.
Will it lose signal if I have trees or high walls?
That’s where the AGS technology is a game-changer. It actually ‘remembers’ where the satellite signal might be weaker at certain times of the day and plans its mowing schedule to avoid those spots until the signal is strong again. It’s predictive, so it won’t get stuck.
Other Robotic Mower FAQs
Will a robotic mower actually cut as well as I do?
Actually, usually better! Because robotic mowers cut tiny amounts every day (mulching the clippings back into the soil), your lawn stays consistently healthy and green rather than going through the ‘long-to-short’ shock of a weekly mow.
Is my garden too complicated for a robot?
You’d be surprised at the ability of modern robotic mowers – they can handle slopes, narrow paths, and multiple ‘zones’ in your garden. If you aren’t sure, get in touch – we’d be happy to help.
