A powerful Ariens 635 cc twin cylinder engine powers this zero-turn mower. A pedal-operated four-point deck lift system offers unmatched stability and consistent cutting. With 7 preset cutting height positions from 3.8 cm (1.5 inch) to 11.4 cm (4.5 inch), cuttings are discharged to the side of the machine.

The Edge 42 is part of Ariens’ zero-turn range, meaning you can mow your lawn in half the time of a conventional lawn tractor. Rather than a conventional steering system, a zero-turn mower is driven and steered by the rear wheels via an independent transmission, allowing you to spin 180º on the spot at the end of a mowing row – no more three-point turns, driving over previously cut areas, or wasted time manoeuvering! You can cut around flower beds, trees, and other garden obstacles with ease, using just two handles to drive, brake, and steer.

Comfort is built into every mower for a smooth ride no matter the terrain. The high back seat with natural air flow enhances operator comfort by supporting the upper back during extended periods of mowing, while keeping you cool. The foot-operated deck lift offers quick and easy cutting height adjustment. Responsive controls and an effortless driving experience enable you to navigate tight turns, cut tall grass, and power through inclines with ease, whilst eliminating jarring starts and stops.
