STIHL HLA 40 Cordless Long-Reach Hedge Trimmer (Tool Only)
The STIHL HLA 40 cordless long-reach hedge trimmer is a lightweight, versatile and easy-to-use garden tool designed for trimming tall hedges, shrubs, and hard-to-reach areas safely from the ground. Supplied as a tool only, it requires a STIHL AS 2 battery and ALS 31 charger (sold separately).
This cordless hedge trimmer features a telescopic shaft extending from 115 cm to 260 cm, allowing you to reach high hedges without ladders. The adjustable cutter head (-45° to +70°) provides excellent flexibility for cutting hedge tops and sides, while the 45 cm laser-cut, diamond-ground blades ensure clean, precise results every time.
Weighing just 3.7 kg, the HLA 40 is comfortable to use for extended periods thanks to its soft-grip handle and optional shoulder strap. Its split-shaft design also makes it compact and easy to store, reducing the length from 260 cm to 115 cm for transport.
Powered by the STIHL AS 2 lithium-ion battery, this hedge trimmer delivers up to 40 minutes run time and is compatible with other tools in the AS System range.
