Comfortable to use over longer periods

This chainsaw is a compact and well-balanced machine with an essential anti-vibration system for comfortable, prolonged working; a soft-grip handle provides additional comfort. Side-mounting chain tensioning makes it easy and safe to tension the chain, whilst accessing the oil tank doesn't require any tools.

All the information you need at your fingertips

An intuitive LED display clearly shows important operating information, including oil level, chain brake position, and power setting. There is a mounting point on the body of the saw for the STIHL Smart Connector 2 A (sold separately) which will provide additional operating information.

Choose how to operate for maximum battery efficiency

The operating mode can be changed between 3 speed settings (20, 24, or 30 m/s) to limit chain speed for optimum battery efficiency, which is especially useful for maximising battery life when completing less intensive tasks. Similarly, the brushless EC motor ensures the tool always has optimum power output no matter the working conditions.

Designed to last for years to come

STIHL's own brushless EC motor is virtually maintenance-free. A fleece filter guarantees consistent performance by keeping even very fine dust and dirt away from the power electronics and electric motor. To protect the saw against damage and overheating, the electric motor automatically switches off in the event of overload.

A battery and a charger are required

The MSA 300 is part of STIHL's professional AP Series, with the batteries and chargers sold separately. The most powerful AP 500 S battery is recommended for 20-44 minutes operating time per full charge (dependent upon operating mode). Unlike other AP System machines, other AP batteries are not recommended for this product. The fastest AL 500 charger will restore the AP 500 S battery 0-100% in just 45 minutes

Guide Bar preference

The MSA 300 comes in three different size guide bar 14", 16" and 18". If you would like the 18" guide bar instead of the 16" guide bar please add the 18" guide bar option.
