THE STIHL RM 248 PUSH MOWERÂ
The RM 248 from STIHL is a petrol push-along lawn mower designed specifically for entry-level users who want to maintain small to medium-sized lawns at home. As part of the new 2 Series range of petrol lawn mowers, it is thoughtfully equipped with a number of innovative key features, making it an ideal choice for home gardeners.
In terms of construction, this lawn mower features a robust sheet steel deck and offers a 46 cm cutting width. In addition, it comes with a convenient single-point height adjustment system, which can be easily set between 20 and 100 mm. Furthermore, the EVC 205 engine is designed for easy starting, so you can get to work with minimal effort. On top of that, a full tank of fuel allows the RM 248 to mow lawns of up to 1200 m².
Another key advantage of the RM 248 is its versatility. Specifically, it offers four different mowing options, all of which can be changed without the need for additional tools; however, it is recommended that you refer to the owner’s manual before making any adjustments. Depending on your preference, you can:
Cut and collect with the grass catcher box fitted
Cut and drop by removing the grass catcher box
Use the side discharge via the integrated deck flap
Mulch using the multi-blade and mulching attachment
For added convenience, the comfort mono-handlebar allows easy access to the grass catcher box, thereby making it simpler to remove and empty when full. Moreover, the built-in fill-level indicator lets you know exactly when the box needs emptying. Meanwhile, the 52-litre grass catcher box is ergonomically designed and can be fully opened for quick and efficient emptying.
Finally, the sturdy mono-handlebar is both height-adjustable and foldable, which means the mower can be stored compactly after use.

The highlift blade gives a precise finish to the lawn and ensures optimal filling of the grass catcher box. The blade creates a strong air current in the housing, which makes the grass stand upright before cutting and efficiently carries the clippings into the catcher box using an integrated and powerful air flow system.

Folding Grass Collection Box

The slats on the side of the box direct the air towards the ground, which protects you from dirt being swirled up.
